An abandoned puppy who was covered in hundreds of texts and looks completely ragged is getting a second chance at life thanks to the kindhearted humans who rescued her.

After removing all the tics from her fur, treating her wounds, not to mention a week of tender loving care under their watch, this puppy is now thriving, playing, and living her best life. Click the link here to watch this heartwarming video.

This abandoned puppy, whom these kindhearted humans have named Suki, has received the vaccine at the vet and had every single tick removed from her body.

She started taking dog supplements because, unfortunately, Suki has become anemic from all the ticks. But these supplements are working like a charm because she has already put on a few pounds and has a lot more energy.

She is also playing with the other foster dogs at her new home, and she is as playful as can be, rolling around in the grass and running around with them as though nothing had ever happened.

Viewers on social media have a lot to say about Suki's journey so far. Some Instagram viewers are commenting on how cute she is while also noting that she is very strong to survive what she has been through so far: "She's so cute! She's a strong girl dealing with what she has so far!"

Other Instagram viewers are commenting that Suki is finally getting to live the life she deserves: "Sweet baby! She's finally going to get what she deserves! Love! Warmth! Family! Food! Some of them are necessities, but to her they're luxuries. Y'all are doing the Lord's work for her!"

She Was Covered in Hundreds of Ticks. Here's Exactly What Her Rescuers Did to Save Her

Veterinarians recommend running your hands over a dog's skin with the slightest of pressure to feel for any abnormal bumps or lumps, particularly around their ears, at the base of their tail, and in between their toes, although ticks can attach themselves to pretty much anywhere on a dog's body.

For removing ticks, they recommend using a pair of tweezers to gently take hold of the tick close to the surface of the dog's skin. They recommend firmly pulling the tick straight outward until the dog's skin "tents," while waiting for the tick to release itself.

Twisting or crushing the check while removing it results in tick-borne diseases spreading to both you and your dog. As such, they recommend that you always wear gloves while removing a tick from your dog.

Afterward, they recommend disposing of the tick and rubbing alcohol and then wrapping it tightly with tape so that it cannot escape, or even flushing it down the toilet.
