A viral video showing a 6-year-old Golden Retriever meeting his tiny lookalike puppy brother for the first time is melting hearts online. The sweet clip captures the dog's reaction to new puppy George, and many viewers are calling it love at first sight as the older Golden immediately seems drawn to his miniature 'twin.'

The video, posted by @frankandgeorge.nyc on May 11, shows Golden Retriever Frank gently sniffing, watching, and staying close to the new arrival. Fans can't get enough of the touching moment, with many describing it as a real-life case of 'Golden Retriever meets his twin, ' thanks to how much little George already looks like his big brother. No DNA test needed!

Could these adorable dog siblings be any cuter? It doesn't get much cuter than a Golden Retriever puppy, but finding out he looks exactly like his big brother is the cherry on top. These boys may not be from the same litter, or even the same parents, but everyone will know they're related the moment they lay eyes on them.

Viewers also picked up on something most Golden Retrievers seem to have in common, whether or not they're related. @Angelamarija noticed, "Ok, so they all go pick up their lamb chops and bring them to us as soon as we get home."

Lamb Chop is an icon among dogs and pet parents, but as far as Frank is concerned, his baby brother is the only thing that matters. Even though he seems overwhelmed with excitement at first, there's nothing but love in the big bro's eyes.

No matter how well George and Frank got along, no one can let the funny cat's reaction go. He looked so annoyed! Fortunately, his parents were quick to set the record straight, writing, "The cat loves them both. He might be sweeter than the dogs are." Now that seems impossible!

A Dog's Reaction To a New Puppy

Some dogs can't contain their joy while meeting puppies, but others want nothing to do with the little ones-and that's ok! Not every dog will be as thrilled to meet a new puppy sibling as Frank was to meet George, but many dogs will warm up to a new face in the house eventually. After all, what's not to love about having a built-in best friend?

It's up to pet parents to decide whether to introduce dogs slowly, over a matter of hours, or all at once, as these Goldens did. There's no one-size-fits-all approach, but safety and comfort should always be top priority. With a little thoughtfulness and planning, dog introductions can feel like a piece of cake!
