Pomsky Looks Personally Offended Dad Doesn't Serve Dinner Like Mom Does
Dogs are creatures of habit and tend to expect things to happen exactly the way they're used to. So when Dad fed this pampered Pomsky named Zeus instead of Mom, let's just say the dinner service did not meet expectations.
Dad handled mealtime without any of Mom's usual fanfare. There were no cute songs, excited praise, or baby talk...he simply set the food down and walked away. Zeus looked personally offended by the lack of effort, and if he could leave a restaurant review, Dad probably would've gotten zero stars.
@zeus.the.pomsky I'm devastated
original sound - Zeus the Pomsky
Zeus said in the caption, "I'm devastated," and we're guessing he may never get over it. We guess this proves just how seriously dogs take their routines...especially when it comes to dinner.
Commenter @Pug Therapy shared, "Oh poor thing!!! No goodies, no song, no nothing??!!"
@Robert Donnelley pointed out, "That's not right, a pup with your stardom should have first class service." @DeCas74 added, "Come on, Dad, do better!!"

Why Dogs Get So Attached to Their Daily Routines
Viewer @mandab56 made a good point: "Routine is so important to keep a doggy happy and feel special, sometimes dads just don't get it."
Dogs thrive on consistency, and while they can't tell time the way humans do, routines help them understand what to expect throughout the day. They quickly learn when it's time for meals, potty breaks, playtime, and even naps, and that predictability helps them feel safe and secure.
According to the American Kennel Club, routines and structure can also have major behavioral benefits. Dogs with consistent daily routines tend to experience less stress and anxiety, which can help prevent destructive behaviors like chewing, digging, and excessive barking.
But the AKC also points out that routines shouldn't become too rigid. If your dog expects dinner at exactly 5:00 every single day, even a small delay can completely throw them off.
Instead of focusing on exact times, experts recommend building routines around consistency. That way, your dog still knows what to expect without becoming overly dependent on a super strict schedule.
