New Security Measures Installed at Nancy Guthrie's Home More Than 100 Days After Disappearance

Since Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her home in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson, Arizona, there has been intense interest in the search for Savannah Guthrie's mother. Now, more than 100 days after she went missing, a new physical message has been sent to the public outside the home where she was taken.

A New Barrier and Signage Have Been Installed Outside of Nancy Guthrie's Home

After the news that Nancy Guthrie had been taken from her home in the middle of the night surfaced, millions of people who'd never met her felt shocked and heartbroken. For most people, those emotions resulted in them following the headlines about the case in hopes there would be a breakthrough. However, some people have traveled to the area of the crime, which has resulted in problems for the locals, a heightened police presence, and even some arrests.

Due to the increased activity outside of the Guthrie home, measures have been taken in the past to keep people off the property. In February 2026, AZCentral reported that a security system, "no trespassing" signs, and a sign describing possible legal consequences for trespassing had been installed. Now, more than two months later, new signs and physical barriers have reportedly been added.

On May 18, the X account @GermanDaphne posted footage taken from a vehicle approaching the Guthrie property. It appeared to show that two short poles had been erected on both sides of an entrance to the driveway with a chain hanging between them to block access. A single pylon also blocked the driveway, and the video showed that the chain had a sign hanging from it. The X account @imadriienne also uploaded photos of the new security measures.

The following day, the X account @JLRINVESTIGATES uploaded footage of himself walking on foot outside of the Guthrie property. The video showed the chain and a close-up view of the sign, which reads "Private Property No Trespassing." Additionally, because the Guthrie property has two entrances to the driveway, the footage also showed him walking to the other access point. That revealed that it had the same poles, chain, pylon, and sign in place.
