This year, the dog name that has won everyone over is Coco! It has officially claimed the top spot as the most-searched dog name for 2026, making it America's favorite dog name, with MetLife Pet Insurance sharing that it has a search volume of almost 23,000.

How Americans Are Naming Their Dogs

In fact, MetLife Pet Insurance explains that searches for Rocky were even 1.7x the national rate in New Jersey and elevated interest also in New York and Pennsylvania.
