Many people find that overalls offer a level of comfort and coverage that surpasses that of pants and a belt. But while you’ll find the equivalent on the ski slopes (snow pants) and in cycling (bib shorts), there haven’t been a lot of high-tech options for outdoor enthusiasts. That changes with Allover, a Salida, Colo.-based company that designs overalls with the nature-loving athlete in mind.

The Lookout Overalls 2.0 for women (the men’s version is the Argos 2.0) feature a relaxed fit that offers unrestricted movement, with flexible straps that are easy to adjust to dial in just the right fit. The stretch fabric is made from 94% recycled polyester (plus 6% spandex) to create a durable material that’s eco-friendly, lightweight and soft against the skin. The low-profile buckles lie flat to avoid issues with backpack straps, while a side-entry zipper makes them easy to get on and off (and to maneuver around when nature calls). You’ll find seven pockets to keep essentials accessible, and the breathable, moisture-wicking construction keeps you comfortable even in hot conditions. They’re even delivered in plastic-free packaging to eliminate waste.

Whether you’re hiking, mountain biking, camping or fishing, these overalls will give you plenty of flexibility in the wild. And they’re comfortable enough that you’ll probably also be wearing them at home for everything from gardening to festivals. Overalls have never looked cooler.
