Man Sings to Miniature Donkeys, and One of Them Has the Most Beautiful Reaction
Just like people, Miniature Donkeys also love a good concert, and two miniature donkeys couldn't contain how moved they were by this performance.
In a video posted to TikTok, French singer-songwriter Loris Assadian, best known as Plumes, sat down at a sanctuary and performed an acoustic cover of YUNGBLUD's "Zombie" for the Donkeys. In the video, the pair approached the singer curiously and cautiously as he played the song for them, and they watched his performance.

They began to sniff at Plumes' and his guitar and moved his ears around as he continued to play, and at one point, one of the Donkeys even gave him a quick smile and let out a little noise in response to the song. Once he finished singing, Plumes reached out and gave some pets to the sweet baby while he stood there.
In the comments, people loved the tender moment between the Donkeys and Plumes, with users writing how much they "love" Plumes' videos and how "heartwarming" it was. In the video's text overlay, Plumes even said the Miniature Donkeys had the most "precious reaction" to his singing.
"I love how many of the animals vocalize and 'sing' with you ," one person commented, referencing Plumes' previous performances for other animals like lions and tigers.
"He was singing with you," another person pointed out. "Felt it in his bones."
Others called him a "beautiful human," and one person even added, "You seem to have such a gentle soul, and the way you look at all of the animals fills my heart."
"Thank you for playing your music for these animals," another person said. "You can tell they really love it and it brings them peace, love, and happiness."

Do Donkeys smile when they're happy?
While it may seem sweet to see a donkey smile, it's actually not the way they show happiness. According to The Donkey Sanctuary, their smile is a way for them to "process smells."
They explained that "Curling up their lips and exposing their teeth is known as a ‘flehmen response'. It helps them transfer interesting or unfamiliar scents to an organ just above the roof of their mouth that processes smells."
While their smile may not show their happiness, they communicate their contentment in many other ways. According to West Place Animal Sanctuary, a donkey will "droop their bottom lip" when they're relaxed and "hold their head low or in line with their body."
They even note that Donkeys will use their "ears to communicate" exactly what they're feeling in the moment. "Ears to the side is another sign of happiness," they add. "This ear position often means they are content and comfortable with the environment around them."
In the video, the Miniature Donkeys' ears definitely moved a lot out of curiosity as Plumes sang to them, but they eventually moved to the side to show contentment during the performance.
