Rare Corgi-Border Collie Mix Looks Like She's Wearing a Dog Costume
You may have heard of a Borgi, a rare Corgi-Border Collie mix, but there's a pretty good chance you have never seen one until now.
This dog is so interesting looking that viewers are convinced she almost looks like a Corgi wearing a costume of a Border Collie.
@joeytheborgi Both of her parents were working dogs on a farm in wales, their litter was accidental but what a beautiful little accident #borgi#corgi#bordercollie#dogsoftiktok#fyp

As one viewer wrote in the comments, "No, because everyone knows anything crossed with a Corgi looks like a Corgi wearing a dog costume."
That's accurate when it comes to describing the dog's incredible looks, but nope, this little girl named Joey is real, and she's a sight to behold.

How Rare Are Borgis?
If you're wondering how rare the Borgi breed is, well, they are definitely rarer than a common mixed breed like the Goldendoodles.
Though the origins of their parent breeds, Welsh Corgis and Border Collies, can be clearly traced, the lineage surrounding circumstances when the first hybrid Borgi breed appeared is still quite convoluted.
Border Collies have been around since the 1800s, and according to the American Kennel Club, Pembroke Welsh Corgis were seen as early as 1107 when Henry I was King!
According to trisklebordercollie.com, Borgis first appeared in the U.S. around the late 20th century, and the breed is considered medium-sized, reaching 11 to 18 inches in height and weighing between 20 and 30 pounds.
Their colors are black, blue, red merle, lilac, white, fawn, gray, sable, and seal merle tricolor. They typically have brown eyes and black noses.
It should be noted that they do tend to shed quite a bit, which is a Welsh Corgi trait.
They are also known for being great family dogs and are considered intelligent and energetic.
These pups are also easy to train, as Corgis were bred to be obedient, sheep-herding dogs (like Border Collies). They may even herd your children!
Borgis sometimes struggle with being housebroken, but crate training can help.
One thing we do know about Borgis, though, is that they are super cute even if, like Joey, they look like a pup in a dog costume!
