Ear, nose and throat provider with offices in Clemmons, Winston joins Charlotte group

Piedmont Ear, Nose and Throat Associates has been acquired by Charlotte-based Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat Associates, one of the largest physician-led practices in the Southeast.

The transaction represents CEENTA's first expansion outside the Charlotte metro area.

The company said Piedmont physicians and care teams will continue to provide care at their locations in Clemmons, Elkin, Kernersville, Mount Airy and Winston-Salem "with no interruption to provider relationships or treatment plans."

The Piedmont group will transition to the CEENTA's Epic electronic health records platform, which is also used by Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Novant Health Inc. hospitals and affiliates.

"This partnership reflects our shared commitment to patient-centered, physician-led care," said DR. Gregory Parsons, chief executive of CEENTA.

Dr. Lucas Inman of Piedmont said joining CEENTA allows the group to "give patients the added benefits of integrated technology, expanded specialty collaboration and long-term stability."

The expanded CEENTA network will feature ear, nose and throat subspecialists across adult and pediatric care, as well as nearly 50 eye physicians and almost 40 audiologists.
