Mac & cheese is in fashion in Mooresville

Eat macaroni & cheese and admire fashion from 6 to 8 p.m. April 11 at the Mooresville Art Depot, 103 W. Center Ave. The Mac & Cheese Cook-Off and Fashion Show benefits the depot renovation. Good cause: Feeding kids

The 20th year of Taste of the Nation returns April 15 at Two Wells Fargo Center Atrium, 301 S. Tryon St. The event, featuring chefs, mixologists and wine programs from more than two dozen Charlotte restaurant, raises money for No Kid Hungry: $120 gets your a preview/VIP ticket (eat ahead of the crowds) starting at 6 p.m.; $85 is general admission, starting at 7 p.m. www.nokidhungry.org/charlotte.

Shed your shells for Dinner Lab
