What’s new for Charlotte’s summer Restaurant Week?

It returns for summer July 21-30.
It returns for summer July 21-30.

Some people wait, well, OK, half a year for this: The yearly summer edition of The Queen’s Feast, the balance to the January edition.

This year’s summer feast will be July 21-30, and includes restaurants in Mecklenburg, Gaston, Lincoln, Catawba, Iredell, Cabarrus, Union and Rowan counties in North Carolina, and York County in South Carolina.

Some of the first-timers on the list: The Oak Steakhouse, FOURK in Hickory, The Porter’s House in Waverly, Living Kitchen in South End, Harbor Inn Seafood in University City and Tavolo uptown.

If you’re a veteran, you know the drill: Go online, peruse the list and the menus and make a reservation (fast, for the most popular places). If you’re a newbie, know that you get a three-course meal for $30 or $35, and the taxes and tip aren’t included. (Be generous with the tip if you can; servers work just as hard as they do to bring you a full-cost meal).
