10 options for where to dine out on Thanksgiving
The moment of Thanksgiving truth is approaching fast: Not what you’ll make, but who’s going to make it for you.
If what you want is a restaurant or a caterer, it’s time to make your move and secure a reservation. Here are some of the options we know about. I’ll share more as I get them in the next few days.
Stoke and Coco and the Director at the Marriott City Center: Four-course menu with sides, $60 each, $25 for children younger than 10, free for children younger than 3. Seatings at noon, 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. At Coco: Breakfast With Santa starting at 7:30 a.m., including VIP bleacher ticket for the Thanksgiving parade. Reservations: 704-353-6005.
The Asbury at the Dunhill Hotel: Two seatings, at 12:30-1:15 p.m., and 3-3:45 p.m. Three-course dinner, including choice of ham, turkey or pan-seared trout. $55, $25 for children ages 6-10. Free VIP seating for the Thanksgiving parade starting at 9:30 a.m. with dinner reservations (while supplies last). Also available: Take-home orders for $50 each; deadline Nov. 21 for pickup on Thanksgiving. Call 704-342-1193.
The Flipside, 129 Caldwell St., Rock Hill: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. for a amily-style, all-you-can-eat menu with vegetarian and seafood options available on request. $35 for adults, $12 for ages 5-12. Reservations: 803-324-3547.
Oak Steakhouse, 4777 Sharon Road: Serving a three-course meal from 2-8 p.m. Nov. 23; $42 per person, including soup or salad, turkey with sides and pumpkin cheesecake or apple cobbler. Call 704-954-8900 or make reservations at www.opentable.com.
Harper’s Restaurant, 11059 Carolina Place Parkway, Pineville: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 23 for the sit-down meal, including turkey, ham and prime rib, sides and desserts; $28 for adults, $15 for ages 12 and younger. Takeout: Roasted or fried turkey $50, sides $8 to $20 depending on size, dessert $15 for 6 to 8 servings. Order deadline for takeout: Nov. 21. Reservations: 704-541-5255.
Reid’s Fine Foods, Myers Park and South Park: Takeout only; order before 5 p.m. Nov. 19 for pick up on or before Nov. 22. Price varies; find the menu online at www.reids.com (look under catering for holiday menus).
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, 210 E. Trade St.: Three-course menu starting at $40; $15 for children younger than 12, starting at 11 a.m. Nov. 23. Details: 704-333-4266.
