If you’ve got a spare winter coat, you can take it to today’s grand opening of the newest Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill, on Prosperity Church Road, and donate it in exchange for a free entree.

To mark the grand opening, Salsarita’s is collecting donations to benefit The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte. You can also bring in a toiletry item to donate and get free chips and salsa. The winter coats should be new or gently used.

The new location, 5920 Highland Shoppes Drive on Prosperity Church Road, is the 16th Salsarita in the Charlotte area. Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill, based in Charlotte, now has more than 80 locations in 17 states.
