Need organic juice uptown? National chain that started in Charlotte comes home

Clean Juice Bar is finally coming to uptown Charlotte.
Clean Juice Bar is finally coming to uptown Charlotte.

The organic juice bar Clean Juice celebrates a round trip this week with the opening of the first uptown location.

Kat and Landon Eckles started the company in 2015 with their first location, in Birkdale Village. From there, the company expanded quickly to 16 states, with 100 locations in development, according to their company website.

The next location is very close to home: 201 S. Tryon St. in uptown Charlotte, near 4th Street. Franchise owners Jeff and Mara Tew will open Thursday, with specials and giveaways all day.

Besides cold-pressed juices, shots and smoothies, expect food like acai bowls, granola bowls and the toasts — avocado and almond butter. Prices are usually $7 to $9 for fresh juice blends in two sizes (16 and 24 ounces) and $8.50 for 16-ounce cold-pressed bottles.
