Coca-Cola Announces 'Significant Overhaul' to Freestyle Soda Machines
Since 2009, Coca-Cola has effortlessly delivered its iconic soda product through its quick and easy Freestyle Machines.
Allowing users to walk up and customize their beverage in any way they can possibly imagine, the Freestyle Machines strikes a remarkable balance between seamless delivery and remarkable efficiency, leaving little reason to wonder why it remains one of the company's most innovative products.
Looking ahead to the future, however, Coke recently announced some major changes in store for their Freestyle Machines, marking the most significant transformation for the fan-favorite soda machines in 17 years.
At the heart of the impending changes is the imminent debut of Freestyle Equinox, the latest model of Coke's soda machine that emphasizes further drink customization, limited-edition flavors, a more interactive, user-friendly interface and faster dispensing speeds on all sodas.
If that weren't already exciting enough, the brand also confirmed the upcoming U.S. debut of their Freestyle Mini. As the name might suggest, the product acts as a smaller version of its full-scale Freestyle Machines, ideal for placement at bars, restaurants and hotel lobbies with limited counter space.
The Freestyle Mini can hold up to 16 cartridges, "bringing Freestyle-level variety and customization to spaces that previously held only a bar gun," the company said.
Additionally, Coca-Cola also confirmed a new partnership with Micro Matic that will see the debut of a non-alcoholic beverage dispenser that can be attached to any Freestyle Machine. Offering a slew of flavor options, the new dispenser has everything from dairy options to flavored syrups, ensuring plenty of remarkable drink combinations with the push of a button.
"We're evolving our dispense equipment into a connected, intelligent platform where every pour strengthens our understanding of consumers and every unit becomes part of a global network," said Gigy Philip, Vice President, Global Equipment Platforms, The Coca‑Cola Company. "At scale, that's what allows us to move faster, differentiate our system and deliver more relevant experiences at the point of pour."
