Applebee's Launches Brand-New Bacon Cheeseburger Wonton Taco Appetizer: 'I Know What I'm Ordering'
For years, customers have consistently enjoyed Applebee's fan-favorite Chicken Wonton Taco appetizer, one of the restaurant chain's most beloved menu items.
Combining Sweet Asian chile-marinated chicken with crispy wonton shells, creamy coleslaw and a healthy layer of cilantro, there's no question that the Chicken Wonton Tacos remain one of the most cherished appetizers on Applebee's menu.
However, Applebee's has recently unveiled a brand-new version of its iconic menu item, one that combines two of the restaurant's tastiest dishes into one flavorful creation.
According to a new press release from the brand, Applebee's has officially added its new Bacon Cheeseburger Wonton Tacos to their 2 for $25 value menu.
Starting August 16, guests can order the thrilling cheeseburger-taco combo for a limited time this summer season. A rich and flavorful overhaul of the classic Chicken Wonton Tacos, the new Bacon Cheeseburger Wonton Tacos come crammed with crisp bacon and seasoned ground beef, ensuring the ultimate twist on an age-old favorite.
"Combining two of our guests' favorite dishes to create our new Bacon Cheeseburger Wonton Tacos was a no-brainer," said Michelle Chin, Chief Marketing Officer at Applebee's. "It packs bold American comfort in every bite: seasoned ground beef, melted Cheddar, Applewood-smoked bacon, pickles and a drizzle of spicy honey mustard. Perfect for sharing on our 2 for $25 menu, or enjoying by itself, you can treat yourself this summer without breaking the bank!"
Along with the new Bacon Cheeseburger Wonton Tacos, Applebee's also unveiled its new summer drink menu, which includes the following refreshing cocktails:
- Backflippin' Blue Margarita with Don Julio Reposado Tequila, Malibu Coconut Rum, blue curaçao, passion fruit, pineapple, cherry and lime
- Prickly Plunge Margarita with Don Julio Reposado Tequila, Smirnoff Vodka, triple sec, prickly pear and lime
- Bacardi Blushing Dragon with Bacardí Superior Rum, dragon fruit, premium lemon sour and lemonade
As expected, fans across social media quickly voiced their enthusiasm for the new menu lineup, most especially the Bacon Cheeseburger Wonton Tacos.
"The Wonton Tacos... I want it!" one user wrote.
"Can always count on Applebees to come up with the best stuff," another fan remarked.
