3 Charlotte products get awards
The N.C. Specialty Foods Association picked a list of foods around the state for awards at a recent meeting in Raleigh. Three from Charlotte were singled out: Bruce Julian’s Bloody Mary Rim Mix, Bloody Mary Mix and Picante Mango Hot Sauce all won their categories, while Julian’s Picante Pepper Hot Sauce was runner-up. Savory Moment’s Blu Cheese Spread and Glory Kitchen’s Umbrian Italian Blend was runner-up in the nuts category.
Cooking school in the mountains
