Charlotte doctor reprimanded by state medical board
Dr. Latimer Anthony Taylor of Charlotte has been reprimanded by the N.C. Medical Board for making “inappropriate and unprofessional comments” to a patient.
Board documents say Taylor, who works at Metrolina Internal Medicine on Torrence Street, made the comments during a telephone conversation in November 2013. The board said the doctor’s conduct failed to “conform to the ethics of the medical profession.”
Taylor waived his right to a public hearing and signed a consent order, agreeing to meet with a psychologist for a “comprehensive assessment” and get a recommendation about whether he needs “remediation, training or proctoring.”
Taylor, who was licensed in North Carolina in 1998, could not be reached for comment.
