Charlotte’s Levine Children’s Hospital ranks among top in nation

For the sixth consecutive year, Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Children’s Hospital ranked among the top hospitals in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals publication, released Tuesday.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that Levine received rankings in multiple specialties – nephrology ranked 35th, neonatology 41st, orthopedics 42nd, neurology and neurosurgery 45th, and cardiology and heart surgery 46th.

For the 2014-15 rankings, U.S. News surveyed 183 pediatric centers to obtain data in 10 specialties and asked 150 pediatric specialists in each specialty where they would send the sickest children. See: http://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals/pediatric-rankings. Karen Garloch
