Where mental health services and therapy are available in Rock Hill region

One in six youth in South Carolina ages 6-17 are diagnosed with a mental health disorder each year, but less than half received treatment in 2021, according to the National Alliance on Mental Health.

Fortunately, there are resources available in the Rock Hill region that provide counseling and other services to assist young people and their families.

South Carolina mental health support groups

  • SC Department of Mental Health: SCDMH’s crisis hotline can be reached by calling 833-364-2274.

  • SC-HOPES: A phone line staffed with experienced mental health and addiction counselors that can be reached at 844-SC-HOPES (844-724-6737).

  • Emergency assistance: If the situation is potentially life-threatening, get immediate emergency help by dialing 911.
