Charlotte fundraiser for brain tumor research is Sunday

Friends and family of the late Mans McLeod are sponsoring Mans’ Jam, a fundraiser for the National Brain Tumor Society, from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at Amos’ Southend, 1423 S. Tryon St.

The event features three musical groups Balsam Range, Chuck Johnson & Charlyhorse, and the John Gaar Trio . It is named for William “Mans” McLeod Jr., who died of a brain tumor in December 2012 at age 54. He was the son of two longtime, now-deceased Charlotte doctors, Leslie and Jonnie McLeod.
