Insurance enrollment
Sunday is the deadline for enrollment in health insurance through the Affordable Care Act’s online exchange, www.healthcare.gov. People who still need insurance for 2016 can get one-on-one enrollment assistance at multiple locations in Mecklenburg and surrounding counties.
Appointments can be scheduled online through Get Covered America, www.GCAconnector.org or by phone, 1-855-733-3711.
Two events are planned for those without appointments: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the Children and Family Services Center, 601 East Fifth St., and 12:30-5 p.m. Sunday at Legal Services of Southern Piedmont, 1431 Elizabeth Ave.
Consumers should bring their Social Security numbers, employers’ names and phone numbers, income information for every working member of the household and policy numbers for current health insurance plans.
