Panel to discuss environment, theology at Myers Park Baptist

Myers Park Baptist Church will host a panel discussion Wednesday night about the environment and theology.
The panelists for “Creation Care: Charlotte’s Challenge” will be Mayor Dan Clodfelter; Mark Jensen of Wake Forest Divinity School; Ernie McLaney of Clean Air Carolina; Sam Perkins, the Catawba Riverkeeper; and Mary Newsom of the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute.
The event, 6:30-8 p.m., will be in the church’s Heaton Hall, 1931 Selwyn Ave.
Also Wednesday and continuing through May 10, an environmental photography/poetry exhibit will be on display in the church’s Cornell Center, adjacent to Heaton Hall. Tim Funk
