Charlotte interfaith rally on Sunday will remember victims of violence

Clergy and others from various faiths will gather Sunday at 2 p.m. at Charlotte’s Marshall Park to call for peace and remember victims of violence. “Peace in the Park: United against Violence, from Ferguson to Paris to Chapel Hill” will feature speakers from the Jewish, Muslim, Christian, African-American and LGBTQ communities. Among sponsors of the hourlong event: Muslim Women of the Carolinas, Myers Park Baptist Church and Temple Beth El. Tim Funk
