Survivors to speak at YMCA prayer breakfast

Missionary Nancy Writebol, who survived Ebola, and former Mecklenburg County manager Harry Jones, who is living with pancreatic cancer, will speak Thursday at the 28th annual YMCA Community Prayer Breakfast. They will discuss “The Power of Prayer in the Present.”

The program will begin at 7:15 a.m. in the Crown Ballroom at the NASCA Hall of Fame, 501 S College St. in uptown. It’s sponsored by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, which is expecting about 2,200 attendees.
