Billy Graham biographer will speak

Charlotte evangelist Leighton Ford will interview the author of a new biography of Billy Graham at a Thursday event sponsored by Wake Forest University’s Charlotte Center and School of Divinity.

Grant Wacker, who has taught at Duke Divinity School and the University of North Carolina, is the author of “America’s Pastor: Billy Graham and the Shaping of a Nation.” Interviewer Ford is brother-in-law to Graham, the famed Charlotte-born evangelist.

A reception and book signing will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the center, 200 N. College St., Suite 150. The interview will begin at 6 p.m. The event is free, but registration is required: go.wfu.edu/americaspastor. Tim Funk
