Lutheran church in Stanley will install new pastor Sunday
Christ’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Gaston County town of Stanley will officially get a new pastor Sunday (Nov. 22).
The Rev. Wesley Frye, 30, will be installed at a 4 p.m. service at the church, 203 S. Main St. Presiding during the installation: The Rev. Nathan Yoder, pastor of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Maiden. A reception will follow.
Frye is a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory and the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia.
The 150-member congregation is affiliated with NALC, the North American Lutheran Churches denomination.
