Charlotte liberal faith groups sponsor Thursday screening of new Jesus movie

Three liberal faith groups in Charlotte will sponsor a Thursday night (June 2) screening of “Last Days in the Desert,” a new movie drama that explores the human side of Jesus.

It’s set during Jesus’ time in the desert, when the Bible says he was tempted by the Devil. Actor Ewan McGregor plays both Jesus and the Devil.

Sponsoring the screening: Missiongathering Charlotte, Myers Park Baptist Church and the Charlotte Spirituality Center.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. at the Studio Movie Grill in the EpiCentre, 210 E. Trade St. in uptown Charlotte. Tickets are $10. To order, click here.
