Charlotte Pride’s annual interfaith service set for Sunday
First United Methodist Church in uptown Charlotte will host Charlotte Pride’s annual interfaith service at 4 p.m. Sunday.
About 28 clergy representing 25 faith organizations will participate in the service, which will kick off the gay-themed Pride week. Coming Aug. 20-21 in uptown: the Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade.
The theme for this year’s interfaith service: “Our Community is a Rainbow of People.”
The church is at 501 North Tryon St. Refreshments will be served after the event.
