Princess Cruises adds more Ireland ports in broader Europe season

If a trip to Ireland is on your travel bucket list, you may want to consider a 2028 cruise through Northern Europe with Princess Cruises.

The cruise line just released its largest-ever Europe season, and Ireland is a major highlight. For the first time, Princess Cruises will offer sailings to destinations along Ireland's dramatic west coast - home to the famous Cliffs of Moher.

Princess Cruises to sail to Galway and Killybegs, Ireland in 2028

Princess Cruises' 2028 cruise season introduces new Ireland ports for the cruise line - Galway and Killybegs - offering passengers the chance to explore Ireland's west coast for the first time on a Princess cruise. Known for its wild terrain and charming towns, the west of Ireland is a renowned destination for outdoor adventure and traditional cultural experiences.

A new eight-day Circle Ireland itinerary on Caribbean Princess sails round trip from Southampton, England to Cork, Dublin, Killybegs, and Galway in Ireland as well as Belfast, Northern Ireland and Cornwall, England. The season also features longer itinerary options of up to 22 days that visit a wide range of destinations across the British Isles and Northern Europe.

From sailings around Ireland to the fjords of Norway, Princess' Northern Europe itineraries focus on smaller ports, dramatic landscapes, and authentic cultural engagement. Princess Local Connections and elevated "Ultimate" shore excursions offer opportunities to connect with local people, traditions, and food through experiences designed with regional experts.

For more time to explore, late-night and overnight stays are featured in destinations including Belfast; Stockholm, Sweden; Hamburg, Germany; Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Copenhagen, Denmark; Reykjavik, Iceland; and Tromsø, Northern Norway's "Gateway to the Arctic."

Princess Cruises debuts Pole-to-Pole Odyssey cruise

Early in the 2028 season, travelers can also embark on an epic extended voyage linking Antarctica and the Arctic - Princess' new Pole-to-Pole Odyssey. The 53-day adventure aboard Majestic Princess sails from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Southampton, England, exploring the Antarctic Peninsula before crossing the Atlantic. The voyage stops in the Canary Islands, Morocco, and La Coruna, Spain before continuing on to visit six ports across Norway, including an overnight stay in Tromsø and a late-night in Alta.

Princess' 2028 Europe season also includes a wide variety of Mediterranean cruises that offer immersive exploration in iconic destinations. Highlights include access to ancient ruins in Athens, Greece; Pompeii, Italy; and Ephesus, Turkey and both history and culture in cities like Barcelona, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; Dubrovnik, Croatia; and Florence, Italy. Mediterranean itineraries include late-night and overnight stays in ports including Istanbul, Turkey; Mykonos, Greece; Ibiza, Spain; Valletta, Malta; Split, Croatia; Lisbon; and La Spezia (Florence/Pisa), Italy.

"Our 2028 Europe season gives guests the broadest range of Europe options we've ever offered, including new calls in Ireland, more opportunities for immersive cultural experiences, and the introduction of our 53-day Pole-to-Pole Odyssey."

All in all, the 2028 Europe season is designed to offer opportunities to go beyond traditional sightseeing and engage with cultures across 128 destinations in 37 countries. The season offers access to 101 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and features 32 late-night or overnight stays. Travelers can choose from 150 itineraries departing from 13 different ports on six Princess ships.
