Carolina Renaissance Festival to host job fair this weekend

The Carolina Renaissance Festival is hosting a job fair this weekend, with plans to bring on 350 seasonal workers to staff the upcoming fall festivities.

The hiring event takes place this Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. both days, according to a statement from the festival. It’ll be at the festival grounds in Huntersville, at 16445 Poplar Tent Road.

The festival is hiring for a range of positions, including selling turkey legs and ale, selling admission tickets, greeting guests and more. Applicants should be able to prove they are able to work in the U.S. if they’re hired. Resumes “are appreciated but not required,” for most positions, the festival said, and questions can be directed to crfjobs@renfestinfo.com.

The festival, in its 23rd year running, includes interactive Renaissance-themed activities like an outdoor theater, circus, arts and crafts fair, jousting tournament and a feast.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival runs on the weekends from Oct. 1 through Nov. 20. It attracts about 180,000 attendees, a spokesman said.
