To help attract young talent, a Charlotte tech firm called POS Nation has relocated into a newly renovated warehouse in South End.

The company previously occupied a “traditional office space” on Red Oak Boulevard, off I-77 in south Charlotte. It’s now in a redesigned 5,454 warehouse-turned-office at 3021-B Griffin St., near the New Bern light rail stop.

In a statement, POS Nation said the new space reflects its mantra: open, inviting and modern. It has an open layout, polished concrete floors and a funky color scheme. Plus, the location, the firm says, hopefully will be a draw for attracting young talent.

“With the real estate and development growth the area has seen, we knew this would be the perfect location to attract young, tech-savvy talent for years to come. It doesn’t hurt to have a handful of breweries within walking distance either,” CEO Cort Ouzts said.

POS Nation, started in 2001, provides retail and restaurant point of sales systems to a nationwide customer base as well as local Charlotte businesses like Passion8, Tinder Box and Sushi 101.

The company says it is on track to record 15 percent growth this year. It currently employs 15 people and is hiring sales representatives.
