Nearly 100 employers filled the Grady Cole Center on Thursday for the 27th annual Career Fair sponsored by Central Piedmont Community College. Organizers said 1,432 job seekers attended throughout the day. The event was open to students and the public.

“Hiring is definitely up in Charlotte,” said Christy Curts, the career fair coordinator for CPCC, adding that all employer slots sold out about a month ahead of schedule.

“We never sold out that early before. There is a huge hiring need, and we're able to fill that need with this particular event.”
