Wondersmith, Wray Ward lead in ad awards
Charlotte agencies Wondersmith and Wray Ward each harvested 11 Addy awards, the advertising community’s equivalent of the Oscars, in a ceremony Thursday night at Dilworth’s Big Chill.
Other agencies that won big in the annual awards from the American Advertising Federation/Charlotte were MODE and Myjive, winning seven Addys each, and Tattoo Projects and newcomer Centerfold Agency with six each.
Other winners included Adams Outdoor, Atypic, BOLTgroup, BooneOakely, Burke Communications Inc., HMH Agency, Jack Henry & Associates, Mythic, Orange Barrel Media, Saturday Brand Communications, UNION and The Plaid Penguin.
Best of show was awarded to The Variable for its work on the Lowes Foods re-brand campaign.
It was the second year in a row that Dilworth-based Wray Ward was among the top award-getters.
