Charlotte and California-based IT companies merge

Charlotte-based IT company SMS Systems Maintenance Services merged with California-based Curvature, the companies announced this week.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The combined companies have revenues of more than $500 million and over 2,000 employees, according to a statement.

SMS, founded in 1981, has an office in northeast Charlotte.
