CLT Joules adds new companies

Charlotte’s energy accelerator, CLT Joules, has added four new companies.

Joules promotes energy innovation and startups among entrepreneurs. Companies in the 2014 program have attracted more than $6 million in funding and generated 38 new jobs, Joules says.

The expansion includes: Biomass Energy Enhancements LLC focuses on improving the quality of biomass feedstock; SAROS Desalination created a wave-driven desalination system; Verdante Bioenergy Services uses software and information technology in biomass procurement; and xSi Solar LLC developed crystalline silicon solar cells that make more power per solar panel.
