Warby Parker glasses will be covered by this insurer for 350,000 NC residents
Nearly 350,000 North Carolina residents with UnitedHealthcare vision insurance will be able to purchase prescription Warby Parker glasses by only paying their copay in 2018, the companies announced on Tuesday.
That will reduce the out-of-pocket costs for prescription glasses and marks the first time the eye-wear company will accept vision insurance.
The partnership will enable millions of Americans to purchase their glasses at a fraction of the price they might pay through traditional channels, said Dave Gilboa, co-founder and co-CEO of Warby Parker, in a statement.
Warby Parker has a store in Charlotte at Atherton Mill on South Boulevard. The insurance will also be accepted for online purchases.
