Sandra Grzemski and Zachary Schultz joined LS3P’s Charlotte office as intern architects, and Alison Giarratano as an administrative assistant. David Carr, Karen Cecil, Jennifer Dillon, Carlota Longo, Scotti Montagnino, Kelly Wagner and Sivilay Xayasaene were promoted to senior associates, and David Burn to associate.

Zach Wise joined the Charlotte office of Novantas, a financial services advisory firm based in New York City, as a principal.

The S.C. State Senate confirmed the appointment of attorney Elizabeth Smith Owen, a partner at Morton & Gettys of Rock Hill, to a three-year term on the York County Natural Gas Authority Board.

Joseph M. Dumser joined the Charlotte office of BB&T Scott & Stringfellow, a brokerage and financial advisory firm based in Richmond, Va.

The law firm of Hunton & Williams LLP added E. Perry Hicks as partner and Bryon Mulligan as counsel to its national lending services practice in Charlotte.

Lake Norman Regional Medical Center promoted Julie Mauney, RN, to director of women’s services, and Shelley Venable to director of materials management.

Carolina Premier Bank named Timothy C. Key chief lending officer and Carrington S. “Cash” Canada chief credit officer.

Lori Skinner-Campbell, RN, MBA, joined Monarch, the Albemarle-based nonprofit supporting people statewide with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance abuse disorders, as vice president of nursing.

Rodgers Builders hired Evia Nelson, a LEED accredited design professional, as senior project manager; Katie Glodowski as senior marketing coordinator; and Jason Moore as business developer.

GKN plc was named 2015 British Consul General Awards Company of the Year by the British American Business Council Charlotte, which promotes trade and investment between the U.K. and the Carolinas. Nigel Stein is the manufacturer’s CEO.

Derick S. Close, CEO and owner of Springs Creative Products Group, Carolina Manufacturing and Springsteen Logistics, was named Leader of the Year by the N.C. State University College of Textiles, his alma mater.

The Golf Club at Ballantyne raised nearly $19,000 during Patriot Golf Day for Folds of Honor, which provides post-secondary scholarships for children and spouses of military men and women killed or disabled while in service.
