NASCAR has named Jill Gregory as head of marketing, the stock-car racing organization announced Thursday.
Gregory, who is based in Charlotte, has worked at NASCAR since 2007. She is currently senior vice president of industry services. In that post, she is credited with helping to roll out several key initiatives, including the new Sprint Cup Chase format in 2014, according to a news release.
Gregory will continue in her industry services role.
“We have many strong assets in the sport right now and I look forward to integrating Industry Services and Marketing as we work across the industry to build our brand and the profile of our drivers, tracks and events to grow NASCAR,” Gregory said.
Gregory replaces Kim Brink, who is now chief operating officer of Global Team Ford, the branch of communications firm WPP that handles Ford Motor Company.
