Here’s a first look at plans for 23-story tower in South End and its changing skyline

Renderings released this week provide a first glimpse of a 23-story office tower in South End that is helping reshape the area into a corporate hub.

Cushman & Wakefield, the firm in charge of leasing for the high-rise, publicized the renderings for the 370,000-square-foot building Tuesday. It will be off of South Boulevard at the East/West light rail station, in the parking lot behind businesses like The Manchester and a now-closed location of Tupelo Honey.

The developers have not said how much the project will cost.

Real estate firms Stiles, based in Florida, and San Francisco-based Shorenstein Properties, are developing the project. It also includes 7,000-square-feet of retail space.

The building’s features also include an amenity center and a “sky level lobby” on the 11th floor.

Developers anticipate the tower will be complete by 2022. No tenants have been announced yet.

It’s part of a slew of buildings underway that are changing South End’s skyline.

Lowe’s is building a 23-story tower that will house a 2,000 employee tech hub across from the Design Center. And financial technology company LendingTree announced in April it would move its headquarters from Ballantyne into one of two 11-story towers being constructed on South Tryon Street at Carson Boulevard.
