A more than $4 million sale gives a popular Indian Land shopping center a new owner

MPV Properties

A busy Indian Land shopping center now has a new owner.

Charlotte-based MPV Properties announced three recent multi-million dollar property sales across the Carolinas. The largest is a more than $4.3 million sale of Southend Plaza. The 17,400-square-foot retail shopping center at 7580 Charlotte Highway is across from Sun City in Indian Land.

The shopping center includes Taqueria El Manhattan, Lancaster Golf Carts, Cache Hair Salon, EXP Realty - Kimberly Magette Group, Tap It! Taps on Draft, Cultivate Health and Breakthrough Physical Therapy.

MPV represented the seller. The Overland Group represented the buyer.

County property records show the 2005 construction sits on almost 2 acres. Grisham Family LLC is the new owner. The sale is more than twice what the property last sold for, in 2018 at $1.8 million.

The shopping center is just beside the almost 200-townhome The Greens and Promenade at Carolina Reserve. It’s across Charlotte Highway, U.S. 521, from the more than 3,000-home Sun City and Carolina Commons. There are more than 15,000 built, under development or proposed residences within three miles of Southend Plaza.
