An anticipated downtown Rock Hill food and drink stop is now open. Here are details
Common Market is open in Rock Hill.
A Wednesday morning post in the Rock Hill Eats group on Facebook stated Common Market welcomed its first customer. Menus posted show Thrillas from the Grilla sandwiches, Lettuce Bed salads, Break Yo Fast breakfast options and more.
Lead partner Graham Worth with Common Market confirmed in an email Wednesday morning the site is open, with more to come.
“We are still awaiting on our alcohol license but will open our food side of things starting today,” Worth wrote. “We are waiting for a grand opening when we get our license which will hopefully be in the next few days.”
Common Market announced plans for Rock Hill back in fall 2020. The fourth company location, at 161 W. Main St. in Rock Hill, is a block away from the center of Old Town. The Charlotte-based company creates a community driven general store concept with deli, beer and wine options. It’s been in the Charlotte market two decades.
The 15,000-square-foot Rock Hill site is a former 1950s era car dealership. Announced plans were for a 5,000-square-foot Common Market and the remaining space for offices.
