Another restaurant week is here, and these York County hot spots are ready to serve

Another restaurant week means another opportunity for area diners to try popular eating establishments.

Restaurant Week South Carolina began Thursday. It runs through Jan. 22. The South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association has 180 participating restaurants statewide.

York County is home to six of them.

Restaurant weeks have become popular options in recent years for diners looking to try new or favorite places at lower than typical costs. Some York County spots have become regulars, taking advantage of their geography.

In Fort Mill, Carolina Ale House has three-course lunch and dinner options for $45. Salmeri’s Italian Kitchen in Fort Mill has dinner for $30 per person. NAPA at Kingsley has three courses for dinner for $45 per person.

Rock Hill also has three spots on the restaurant week. Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails ($35 per person), The Flipside Restaurant ($35) and The Pump House ($45) all have three-course dinner options.

Full restaurant week specials and typical menus are posted online at restaurantweeksouthcarolina.com.

The well-established Charlotte Restaurant Week runs each summer and includes plenty of local flavor. Last year six restaurants across Fort Mill, Rock Hill, Indian Land and Lake Wylie participated. Visit York County decided to elevate its YoCo Taste Trail last year to include a full restaurant week concept. About two dozen restaurants countywide participated.
