Uber launches UberSUV Friday

Customers of ride-hailing service Uber can now ride in an SUV if they so choose.

Uber launched UberSUV Friday morning, said company spokesperson Taylor Bennett.

It’s one of four services the company offers in Charlotte – UberX, UberXL and UberBlack are the other three.

UberSUV is a more expensive than UberX, the company’s cheapest option. It has a minimum fare of $25.00, a base fare of $14, $.50 a minute and $4 a mile.
