A Frontier Airlines plane scheduled to take off from Charlotte Douglas International Airport was evacuated Thursday morning because of a strong odor.

Observer news partner WSOC TV reported that passengers on flight 1759, bound for Orlando, were told to evacuate by the captain before the plane left the gate.

All 266 passengers exited the plane using the jet bridge and emergency slides, but one person was hurt going down the slide, WSOC reported. They were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The news channel said a Frontier spokesperson said maintenance is still working on figuring out what caused the smell.
