American fashion designer couple to make NC debut with Charlotte stores in SouthPark
More luxury brands will make their North Carolina debut next year in Charlotte.
American fashion designers’ Ann and Sid Mashburn stores will open by early fall at Specialty Shops SouthPark at 6401 Carnegie Blvd.
A pass-through will connect the two stores with a combined space of about 5,700 square feet in a portion of the Talbots store, which will close Jan. 31. Construction is expected to begin early next year.
The husband-and-wife duo opened their first store in 2007 in Atlanta.
“Charlotte has been on our radar for quite some time,” the Mashburns said in a statement. The SouthPark spot is an ideal location for its “one-stop” shopping, they said.
Ann and Sid Mashburn join other boutiques including Ivy & Leo and South & Molly’s, as well as retailers like William Sonoma and restaurants Bricktop’s, Toscana and Paco’s Tacos & Tequila.
