Domino’s Pizza plans to hire 2,000 employees across North Carolina, including at its 15 stores in Charlotte. The company said its nationwide and statewide success increases the need for additional support.

The pizza chain will host a hiring day Aug. 19, and 243 participating locations statewide will accept applications from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. that day. Interested applicants can also apply online at

Positions to be filled include delivery drivers, pizza makers, customer service representatives, assistant managers and general managers, Domino’s said in a statement Wednesday.

Dani Bulger, a Domino’s spokeswoman, said the company estimates it will hire approximately 10 new employees per store.

“The growth and success of Domino’s across the state allows us to build on our business so we can continue to do what we do best – make great pizzas and deliver them with exceptional service,” said Mack Patterson, who owns 34 N.C. Domino’s restaurants, including all the stores in Charlotte.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the chain plans to open new locations.

There are a total of 38 Domino’s locations in the greater Charlotte region, which includes surrounding areas like Gastonia and Rock Hill, according to the Domino’s website.
