Why Bank of America is expanding its podcast platform to delve into AI
Bank of America is adding a new podcast its small but growing roster of podcasts, this time focusing on technology like AI so listeners can stay ahead of what’s coming next.
Breakthrough Technology Dialogues is the Charlotte-based bank’s latest audio platform. The new podcast showcases emerging technologies redefining the global economy, industry and society, Bank of America said in a news release this week.
Listeners will hear from experts on artificial intelligence, quantum computing, fusion energy, medtech and robotics. The podcast is available on Podbean and other streaming services including Apple, Spotify and Amazon Music.
The primary motivation behind the podcast is to position Bank of America as a provider of ‘trusted insight’ in a fast-moving and complex tech landscape.
The podcast is an extension of Bank of America’s annual invitation-only event, the Breakthrough Technology Dialogue, held in the U.K. and Singapore.
Each episode runs precisely 19 minutes and 56 seconds as a nod to the year the term “byte” was first coined. The host of the series is James Harding, editor-in-chief of The Observer, a British newspaper published on Sundays.
The inaugural episode features software design company ARM co-founder Hermann Hauser talking about quantum error correction and its implications for the future of AI.
Bank of America has other podcasts including Global Research Unlocked and Treasury Insights. Podcasts are an accessible channel for us to share insights and conversations beyond our traditional thought leadership, and they offer people something they can listen to anytime, anywhere, Bank of America said.
