Person seriously injured at Charlotte airport FedEx facility, sent to hospital

A person was injured at a FedEx facility near Charlotte Douglas International Airport Monday morning, the company said.

“The safety and well‑being of our team members, our vendors, and the communities we serve remain our top priority,” said an email from FedEx’s media relations. “A vendor who was on site this morning at our Charlotte, NC facility was injured and sent to the hospital.”

MEDIC said at 5:16 a.m. one person was transported to the hospital from the 4200 block of Yorkmont Road with serious injuries.

Officials haven’t released details of what happened or the injured person’s condition.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police it did not have information or a report. CLT said it did not have information.
