Fast-growing Charlotte suburb to get 1,100 more homes in mixed-use project
A 670-acre community is coming to Cabarrus County. Once completed, it’ll add 1,110 homes to a Charlotte suburb for families and seniors.
Atlanta-based PulteGroup held a groundbreaking in early May for their new neighborhood in fast-growing Midland called Carolina Ridge. Midland is about 25 miles east of Charlotte.
Carolina Ridge will be split into two communities. The Retreat at Carolina Ridge will have 613 single-family homes. PulteGroup is offering 15 floorplans ranging from 2,200 square feet to 4,400. Prices range for them is from the mid-$500,000s to $1 million.
And Del Webb Carolina Ridge is PulteGroup’s 55-year and older active adult community. The community will have 497 homes with 11 floorplans ranging from 1,200 to 3,500 square feet. Prices are set for the mid-$400,000s up to $800,000.
With the new development underway, PulteGroup is continuing its expansion into the Charlotte metro region.
This year, the developer is either constructing or completing seven projects throughout the region, including Carolina Ridge, which is also PulteGroup’s largest project.
By next year, PulteGroup will add over 470 townhomes and over 1,400 single-family homes to the Charlotte region.
